Cobra COBRA is the first factory standard AYRTON phosphor laser source luminaire based on the concept of DREAMSPOT 18K, presented at Prolight+Sound 2016.

Several years of development have gone into designing and finalising this exceptional luminaire, which offers a next generation speckle-free laser source, designed for rendering a D65 white point that allows perfect colour reproduction. COBRA pushes all the limits when it comes to beam definition, with native contrast never before achieved by a digital light source, an incredible beam angle of 0.6°, and an extreme range of focus which permits the beam shape to be adjusted according to the operating distance XT-Focus™. Fitted with a 170 mm frontal lens, the proprietary optical system uses 13 lenses, producing an unprecedented 38x zoom ratio and a zoom range of 0.6° to 23°. COBRA adopts a particularly minimalist style, extremely well-balanced due to the luminaire’s simplified waterproofing EasyProtect-65™, and the continuous rotation of the pan and tilt movement, multiplying the possibilities for creating complex effects I.R.S.™ and making this luminaire a universal tool capable of meeting any challenge in all conditions.

COBRA is provided with a highly innovative colour section including a CMY mixing system and a multi-position instant access wheel equipped with six corrective filters, 21 complementary colour filters, and a variable CTO on two concentric circles 2D-ColorWheel™.

COBRA has an unrivalled graphics capability, offering a wide choice of 92 fixed and rotating metal gobos distributed on two wheels specifically created to sculpt light in “beam” mode and incorporates an animation section on the gobo wheel 2D-GoboWheel™. These gobos can be blended with two sections of four individually combinable rotating prisms allowing you to produce a multitude of volumetric lighting effects. A light and heavy frost filter complete COBRA’s graphic tool palette. Well-suited for use indoors as well as outdoors, COBRA was developed as a unique versatile luminaire that incorporates all waterproof features, while remaining easily accessible and limited in weight. Able to operate in the most extreme situations, it has a sunlight protection system SunProtect-65™ and an integrated heating system that safeguards against temperatures below -10° C (14° F) ColdProtect-65™. HURACÁN LT HURACÁN LT is the first LED luminaire in the brand new line of “LT” (Long Throw) products dedicated to long-range applications.

To achieve an ultra-intense beam from a LED source, AYRTON has added 225 mm-diameter, extra-large frontal optics weighing 7 kg. The proprietary optical system has 13 lenses, delivering a 15:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range of 3.5° to 53°. Fitted with a next-generation, oversized liquid phase-change cooling system and a new high-efficiency 1000 W LED module, HURACÁN LT delivers record light output of 51,000 lumens at a colour temperature of 6700 Kelvin when operating at a steady state. Provided with multiple optical tools designed for shaping light, HURACÁN LT is factory-equipped with a removable high-transmission diffusion filter to erase the edge of the beam without changing its angle; a progressive linear frost system for precision adjustment of the desired diffusion level for creating artificial wash effects; and two combinable image-multiplying rotating prisms – one linear with four facets, and the other circular with five facets.

offering a double saturation level that can obtain over a billion colours (patent pending) and a triple variable colour temperature corrector that allows subtle adjustment from 2700 K to 15000 K and offers noticable CRI improvement. HURACÁN LT features an advanced framing section, which enables accurate positioning of four shutter blades on a 100% surface area in all positions, so that the user can frame any object regardless of the luminaire’s position. The effects section includes two superimposed rotating gobo wheels each with seven HD glass gobos; a 15-blade iris diaphragm; a monochromatic multi-position effects wheel for horizontal, vertical or axial scrolling for creating flame, water or radiant effects (patent pending) and a CMY and RGB effects wheel for unique multicolour effects. ZONDA 9 FX ZONDA 9 FX is the first luminaire in a new family of products devised for stage lighting, equipped with a high-performance 40 W LED source with RGB+W additive colour synthesis.

This fixture offers a proprietary optical system consisting of a wide dial of 37 lenses in PMMA, 384 mm in diameter, combined with 37 glass light guides with an output surface made of an optical micro-structure. This LED/optical system combination can produce powerful light output of 25,000 lumens and a perfectly homogeneous mixture of pastel and saturated colours, regardless of the colour mix chosen. The perfectly crisp separation between the light sources helps to reinforce the level of contrast. Endowed with a 50 mm truncated transmitting lens with an optical surface equivalent to that of a 70 mm round lens, ZONDA 9 FX can obtain a
highly intensive beam with a zoom ratio of 14:1 and a wide zoom range of 4.0° to 56°.

A new optimised cooling system, simplified lens guidance systems, and ever smarter design of the internal structure have made it possible to reduce the size and weight of the luminaire considerably Slim-21TM.

ZONDA 9 FX is a versatile fully-equipped luminaire designed for a multitude of applications. It borrows from the main features
of the WASH version and offers infinite continuous rotation on the pan & tilt axes I.R.S.TM. Individual control of each LED allows you to achieve 3D volumetric effects. ZONDA 9 FX can produce a high-definition liquid effect from between its main lenses to create complex graphic effects LiquidEffectTM. EURUS PROFILE A new addition to the 6 Series, EURUS is the first multi-function profile luminaire launched under the new SLIM-21TM programme for miniaturising fixtures and reducing their weight.

AYRTON has developed a new high-efficiency power supply in an entirely new die-cast aluminium base that takes up 33% less volume than in other luminaires of the same category. A lighter internal structure and all-new miniaturised stepper motors add to the final result. This new luminaire boasts optics specifically developed for applications requiring perfect image reproduction and significantly reduced distortion caused by the shutter blades in wide zoom. Fitted with a 170 mm frontal lens, the proprietary optical system uses 13 lenses, producing an 11:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range of 4.5° to 50°. EURUS is available in two versions: S and TC. EURUS S, specially designed for stage applications, is equipped with a new 650 W ultra-compact monochromatic LED emitter calibrated at 8200 K, it can deliver metallic white light with an output of 36,000 lumens at a colour temperature of 6700 K. EURUS TC is geared for applications that require perfect colour rendition, using a monochromatic light source with a native colour rendering index greater than 90, at a colour temperature of 6000 K.

Feature-packed from the factory, EURUS includes a subtractive CMY colour mixing system combined with a variable CTO and a seven-position complementary colour wheel for displaying an infinite palette of vivid pastels and saturated colours.

In addition, the colour section contains two additional filters for optimising the colour rendering index and TM30 readings. The framing section allows accurate positioning of each shutter blade on a 100% surface area in all positions, so that the user can frame any object regardless of the luminaire’s position. The image section includes 18 interchangeable HD glass gobos on two wheels: one rotating wheel with seven positions and one fixed wheel with eleven positions. The effects section includes one continuous dynamic effect-wheel, 15-blade iris diaphragm, two frost filters (one for light and one for heavy diffusion), two combinable rotating prisms (one circular with 5 facets and one linear with 4 facets). PERSEO PROFILE PERSEO PROFILE is the first compact multi-function luminaire with an IP65 enclosure rating developed by Ayrton for intensive outdoor use.

Equipped with a new 500 W ultra-compact monochromatic LED source calibrated at 8000 K, it can deliver metallic white light with an output of 27,400 lumens. Ayrton has specifically developed the optics in PERSEO PROFILE to achieve an optimal resolution-to-performance-to-efficiency ratio. They allow perfect image reproduction and significant improvement from distortion caused by the shutter blades with wide zoom. The optics produce a highly uniform flat beam with no hot spot, achieving a perfect colour mix regardless of the colour combination selected. Fitted with a 148 mm frontal lens, this proprietary system has 13 lenses, delivering an 8:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range of 7° to 58°. Ayrton has endowed this next generation luminaire with a new minimalist design in lighter weight die-cast aluminium, incorporating full weather-proofing features that ensure easy accessibility. For greater efficiency, PERSEO PROFILE is provided with a highly effective phase-change liquid cooling system fitted with six submersible fans located outside the watertight enclosure.

DIABLO Ayrton’s latest innovation, Diablo, is a versatile, feature-rich 300 W profile luminaire based on the ultra-compact Mistral format.

The company has taken on the ambitious challenge of making Diablo the smallest, lightest and most efficient luminaire of its category. With a record output of 19,000 lumens and a total weight of 21.8 kg, DIABLO is a powerhouse of technology that will tempt the most demanding lighting designers. To achieve its objective, Ayrton has miniaturised the framing system while maximizing the performance level. As in other profile luminaires of the product line, the framing section allows accurate positioning of its four shutter blades on a 100% surface area in all positions, so that the user can frame any object regardless of the luminaire’s position. A new ultra-compact high-output 550 W power supply feeds eight additional motors in the framing system, fitting into the original MISTRAL format. DIABLO borrows the same 13-element proprietary optical system delivering an 7.5:1 zoom ratio with a zoom range of 7° to 53°. The 119 mm frontal lens can produce an extremely uniform flat beam that can render images perfectly in all conditions and at any beam angle.
